Patchforge is a minimal service for applying PostgreSQL database patches in a controlled, auditable, and deterministic way.

Patchforge is designed for environments where correctness, traceability, and operational safety matter more than convenience.

Patchforge is intentionally opinionated.

• SQL is the source of truth
• Patches are applied exactly once
• Patch state lives in the database
• Ordering is deterministic
• No schema inference
• No application code inspection

Patchforge does not guess intent.

Patch identifiers are generated externally using a timestamp-based naming scheme to prevent collisions across teams and repositories.
